The By Miles app requires data access and works best with GPS/location turned on (for tools like ‘Find My Car’ or ‘Journey Estimate’). However, it’s not necessary to have your GPS/location services switched on for the policy to work and you’ll still be able to view your journeys provided you have an Internet connection.
